Bloc Party @ Fox Theater

Had a grand time at the Fox Theater last nite, that place is a three level gem (that was some good bucks spent on the renovation but holy.. $83 Million?). Even the floor is tiered with 3 levels

Bonus: the Fox Theater is close to Bart too, 19th St station

Wandered around originally looking for seats but they were assigned, I guess we have to go on the floor. Missed the opener (Menomena, who?), enjoyed some good drinks instead (well, as good as they were expensive)

Bloc Party took the stage around 9pm. The sound was kinda saturated but the band has a great energy (well mostly Kele and the Tong). I still marvel at the sounds that come out of Russel's guitars, kid is a beast (funny tidbit: Matt Tong kept his shirt well into the set, maybe like 6 to 7 songs, a record?). Best Gordon moment: there was one, but I forget

Oh yeah can you believe Kele crowd surfed during the 2nd encore? Wild
