Well well, I had a balcony seat for the 2nd show but I figured, I got ripped off enough on my tickets to sneak into floor anyway, I showed up after 9pm this time around, no lines (nice). I was gonna chill in the back (against the wall) and found out the VIP section was really the handicapped section. Seats, how nice. Your legs must be busted though
Anyway, when Sebastian Bach started off, I realized I wouldn't see anything if I stayed there so I went down the floor, at that first tier to the left. The people were mostly chill, these old white ladies (late 30s, 40some?) were going out of control. Other people were cool though. Later on these obnoxious kids came by and kept bumping into me, it annoyed me until I realized they were super fuxd. I saw them doing coke later, a first. Quite uncool
The show to my dismay was a rehash of the first night, and it's bad when the banter type stuff is also repeated. Security did ask for no video and flash but that was more as a deterrent I think (first show policy was no professional cameras)
Bach did his thing, great energy still, maybe the voice a bit rusted. Oh yeah he coaxed Scott Ian (Anthrax) who was chilling backstage into playing the "Youth Gone Wild" finale
The Guns' show seemed heavy the 2nd time around, all those solos slow things down so much. Oh and Axl was being a dick, he got a few kids kicked out, not really sure why (he actually interrupted "Sweet Child O Mine", cmon now). I'm guessing they were pushing people too hard, or maybe insulted him. Anyway, it was pretty uncool. His attitude was also off, snapping at the stage hands a few times, notably about that wire attached to his gear and he had the worst reaction when when he ran into the piano being setup. On the list of things not rock n roll, you can add sipping tea which he did more than at the first show
I guess I have to command his professionalism for continuing, this is to be expected of anyone else but it's Axl, moody starlet. The voice wasn't too hot tonight, the new Guns' songs sounded even worse, except one, but even that one is all disjointed
I gave another look at the tshirts, man it's some ugly ish. Maybe if they were cheaper.. nah not even. I guess I'll just have my pictures to remind me of the concerts, oh yeah they gave out some posters too but I'm not sure what I'll do with them
"Rocket Queen" really made my night, I can't remember it from the first show but everything was so similar that I doubt this was a deviation. That bridge gave me chills. Everything off Appetite' was delicious ("My Michelle" was a bit off tonight, cuz of the mic level on Bach's I think). The finale with the confetti is pretty cool
The setlist for both night stuck to what was revealed on Blabbermouth
